What comes to mind when you think of Baby Phat? It's probably not jewelry.
Kimora Lee Simmons, ever the entrepreneur, is seeking to expand her empire with the revamping of her brand including a new line or jewelry. And unlike some of the clothing items I've seen. The Baby Phat signature kitty is much more subdued on the pieces of jewelry making them look much more high-end. If you're interested, be sure to take part in the sale!

Subversive Jewelry Comes to Target

Bargain shoppers have long extolled the greatness of Target's guest designers. I'm not sure how they do it, but the Target crew always manage to get the greatest pieces from these designers at amazingly low prices. The newest addition to the roster CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year Nominee Justin Giunta of Subversive Jewelry. Here's the scoop:
The Subversive for Target collection will be available at select Target stores nationwide and at Target.com March 23 through July 20, 2008.
The Subversive for Target collection plays on the idea that more is more, and each piece is designed with a concept behind it, so it is both visual and thoughtful. This collection includes an eclectic mix of charm bracelets, delicate drop earrings and bold multi-color block necklaces. Key pieces include the jeweled locket fringe necklace, the tri-strand faux pearl necklace and the red butterfly brooch cuff bracelet. The exclusive Subversive for Target collection ranges in price from $14.99 to $59.99.
I've long been a fan of his quirky designs, but now I'll actually be able to afford them. How exciting!

Green with Envy
From shoes, handbags and headwear, green is the new black this spring – and the easiest way to incorporate any color into your wardrobe is through accessories. Right now the earth is what’s on everyone’s mind – from politicians to Hollywood A-Listers – fashion has always been inspired by the world in which we live in. So it’s no surprise that the biggest color trend for spring is, very simply, GREEN.
